Matthew Testa is an award-winning director and showrunner who specializes in documentary and non-fiction storytelling. His work has taken him around the country and the world, from the mountains of Appalachia and Alaska to the streets of Kolkata and the glaciers of Iceland. Whatever he is filming, Matthew strives to find the human stories behind the headlines and to tell them with authenticity, empathy and trust. He is passionate about making films and series that enlighten, entertain and motivate audiences to improve the natural and human-made world.

Matthew’s projects have screened at film festivals around the world and appeared on Netflix, Amazon, National Geographic, PBS, Discovery, FX, Oxygen, Animal Planet, A&E, Planet Green, Youtube Premium, Bravo and elsewhere.

He holds a MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute (AFI) and lives in Los Angeles.
